The series starts out in the year 2015. The second impact has occurred. The second impact was an explosion
that melted the Antarctic, shifted the Earth's orbit, and killed over a billion people. It starts out when Shinji Ikari, a 14 year old, is
asked to come to the special agency "Nerv" by his father, Gendo Iakri, who abandoned him. When he arrives at Tokyo-3, this huge
angel has just begun to attack. This angel has an AT field which is a sort of forcefield, therefore conventional weapons do not work.
The U.N. stalls it for a while. Nerv then expects Shinji to pilot this HUGE bio-mech designated Eva-01. This series has two alternate
endings, the TV episodes 25+26 and the ending that appeared in movie theaters, "End of Evangelion". There is also a second movie
"Death and Rebirth of Evangelion". "Death" is actually a recap movie and Rebirth is actually the first half of the "End of Evangelion" movie.
This is the best anime and manga ever! This series has everything an anime requires. It has your kickass explosions,
huge mechas, some pretty funny shit, extremely good character development, and philosophy. This series has the best character development
of any anime, movie, TV series, or book. There is also tons of depth with all these conspiracies going on(btw, none of them are stupid).Eva,
as fans call it, puts forth many theories about life and the human psyche. I recommend that everybody who has no psychological trouble (i.e.
depression, anxiety, ADD, ADHD, etc.) watch this series ^_^. If you do watch this series, I suggest that you watch every episode at least twice
and that you pay close attention to every detail.
